Choose the type tool and type in the text on the button (I chose Button Up), this should be done on a new layer. Save your Selection as text. |

Activate Layer 1 by clicking on it. Go to the Select menu and Load Selection the one you named text. |

Turn off the eyeball on the text layer then go to the Filter menu choose Render > Lighting Effects. Your window should look like the one on the left, if it doesn't make the proper adjustments and click on OK. |

Your button should look like the one on the left. Now turn on the eyeball next to the text layer. |

 |
Your 3D Button should now look like the one on the left. For use on the Web export the button as a Gif. |
