I ran across this YouTube video on MySpace while surfing the net this morning and I just wanted to share it with you.

Now what does this have to do with marketing?
Sometimes good is good and marketing has to take a back seat as we enjoy the brilliance of talent.
Marketing is a wonderful thing. With the right marketing team and enough of a budget any one or thing can be brought to the top. Take a look at Milli Vanilli and The Bay City Rollers. These groups rocketed to the top. They had great marketing teams. What was missing was substance. Where was the talent? There wasn’t any, at least what was being marketed. Once the substance was discovered they crashed instantly.
Marketing questions you need to ask your self before you spend your time and marketing efforts on a project.
- Is there sustainability?
- Am I marketing the right thing?
- Is my time and money working to my advantage?
