The Best Fish Taco I Ever Had!
WOW! I had a fish taco at Baja Grill yesterday and it was absolutely the best fish taco I have ever eaten. Baja Grill is downtown Portland at 827 S.W. Second Avenue.
This is no small feat either. I am from San Diego, the home of the American fish taco. I remember when fish tacos started to get popular… Madona had just come to town for a concert and a local Mexican restaurant (Rubio’s) which was located by Mission Bay had just put out an a-frame sign with the proud wording “Madona Loves Our Fish Tacos”. Rubio’s went on to thrive and the owner even began a new business. You have probably bought their products “DeliMex”. All this was built off their reputation for great fish tacos.
Well Mark Lopez the Chef at Crave Catering and Baja Grill has done Rubio’s one, maybe even 3 better. His fish taco is just so light and crispy. The flavor OH… man it is soooooo tasty. If you are in the Portland area you have to check them out.
